AIESEC Life is pleased to announced that Frances Donegan-Ryan will serve as AIESEC Life’s new Director of Online Marketing.  Frances joined AIESEC in 2001 at the University of Washington in Seattle. She was, and is, passionate about building cultural understanding amongst her peers, so unsurprisingly AIESEC stole her heart. Her AIESEC career led her from AIESEC Seattle to AIESEC South Australia and then AIESEC International in 2005-2006.  Following AI, Frances moved to New York to work for Cadbury Schweppes followed by an AIESEC Traineeship in Hyderabad, India to fulfill her wish of working for women’s and girls rights with a national NGO. Frances currently resides in Seattle where she has served as an investor and consultant for early-stage start-ups. She is thrilled to join the AIESEC Life Team working on crafting messages, running the social media platforms, and improving the website.
Frances recently wrote regarding her new role:

“When I joined AIESEC I was swept up in the excitement, inspired by the people I met, intrigued by what we accomplished together, delighted and appreciative about what I learnt and experienced. That feeling does not change. It increases and decreases in force, due to life, family and work. Still, it never leaves you. AIESEC gave me my best friend, past jobs, a flat to stay in in Cairo, a reason to keep traveling the world. I know AIESEC has given my friends, and you, the same things and more.

Why would I ever want to leave that all behind me? It simply did not make sense. I look forward to having similar and different experiences on my journey with AIESEC Life. I look forward to attending conferences again (this time with maybe only one hotel room-mate). I look forward to being inspired by the AIESEC Life members; I want to know whom they are and what they are doing now. I look forward to accomplishing great things in this role . I want us, no longer AIESEC members but always AIESECers, to use the advantage of this wonderful organization at any stage in our lives and careers.”
