Would you like to spend a long summer weekend in New York City with AIESEC alumni friends from all around the world whilst also supporting AIESEC US?

 

AIESEC Life NYC hub is pleased to invite you to join the alumni activities at AIESEC US’s Summer National Conference, followed by a weekend in New York City.  We expect over 60 alumni to attend.  Come join us to help support AIESEC US, and most importantly, party the weekend away like the good old times with a diverse global group of alumni of all ages!

 

Thursday August 9^th evening & Friday August 10^th daytime

Alumni @ Summer National Conference (SNC)

Location: Hilton Stamford Hotel, Stamford, CT (45 mins by train from NYC)

 

Help strengthen AIESEC US and connect/re-connect with other alumni at SNC at the Stamford Hilton, just 45 minutes by train from NYC’s Grand Central Station (hotel is just a few blocks away from Stamford train station).

6pm – Alumni Cocktail Reception

7.30pm – Gala Dinner for SNC Delegates, Alumni & Corporate Partners

Dinner Cost: TBA; discounted rate for AIESEC Life Members & early bird discount for those registering before July 14^th

 

Friday August 10^th

Timing TBC – Alumni Day at SNC

We are seeking alumni for one or more of:

-          Deliver soft skills training sessions for delegates (8 sessions required, 45 mins long, each session to be repeated twice and each session will have approx 25 delegates); session topics can be of your choosing – suggestions from past conferences include presentation skills, communication skills, leadership, planning, etc

-          Alumni Luncheon Panel  – talk about your AIESEC experience, take Q&A from delegates

-          Deliver/assist with Functional track sessions for delegates (Traineeship Sales, Outgoing Exchange, Communications, Talent Management)

-          Deliver sessions for other alumni (experienced alumni running professional development sessions for younger alumni)

Alumni are also generally invited to attend the lunch session, to mix with conference delegates, and to observe sessions being run by alumni.

Hotel Rates: The Organizing Committee has negotiated special rates with the conference hotel; rate and booking details to be provided shortly – rooms to be booked directly with the Stamford Hilton Hotel

Location: Various hotspots in New York City

 

Friday August 10^th

9pm-midnight – Cocktail Reception at the SoHo Penthouse of Rishi Ganti (Emory 94)

Cost: TBA, a discounted rate for AIESEC Life Members – advance sign-up is absolutely required

 

Saturday August 11^th

1pm-4pm – Craft beer crawl in the East Village run by Urban Oyster Tours, owned by David Naczycz (Michigan 96) and Cindy Vandenbosch (Michigan 01) ; Cost: $65 incl. beers and some food, payable directly to Urban Oyster – Details  TBA; (tour size limited to 16 persons maximum, so sign up early to avoid disappointment)

8pm – Dine-around: NYC-based alumni will be on hand to take you to their favourite NYC restaurants (pay-your-own way) or feel free to make your own plans!

10pm-late – Meet up at a NYC hotspot bar – Cash bar

 

Sunday August 12^th

12 noon – Brunch at a popular NYC restaurant; pay-your-own way on the day

 

Hotels: We recommend alumni visiting from out-of-town to stay in either midtown or downtown NYC, to be close to the activities planned; there is a wide choice of hotels available on the major travel booking websites.
