GEOFF SMART’S NEW BOOK LEADOCRACY RELEASED THIS WEEK

AIESEC Northwestern alumnus Geoff Smart (LCP 1989-1990) published a new book this week.  It is called Leadocracy:  Hiring More Great Leaders (Like You) into Government.  Geoff is CEO of ghSMART, and is the New York Times bestselling author of Who.

In Leadocracy,  Smart profiled private sector leaders who serve in government.  The core questions he explored were:

1. Is improving the performance of government a “what” problem or a “who” problem?

2. Is a private sector skill-set useful in government?

3. How enjoyable is it to do a leadership stint in government?

Interviewees include Governor Hickenlooper of Colorado, Governor Daniels of Indiana, Governor Markell of Delaware, and Governor Snyder of Michigan—all former private sector leaders.  What you learn will shock you, and may change your perspective forever.

Leadocracy has been endorsed by over 30 CEOs and leading scholars, and has already received media attention from BusinessWeek, Forbes, and Harvard Business Review.

If you buy a hardcover copy of his new book Leadocracy on Amazon.com this week, send an email to Geoff’s assistant, Linda, at Lindaljnaden@ghsmart.com, and you will be entered in a raffle to win a free $50k keynote speech at your company by Geoff.
