Enjoy the sounds of World Class Chicago Jazz with fellow alumni, aiesecers and trainees this summer at Jay Pritzker Pavillion in Millennium Park. The event (see details below) starts at 6:30. @Life Chicago will be there at 6pm to get a spot on the front lawn for everyone to enjoy the music, great company and chicago lights! You are free to stay for as long or as short as you wish. Feel free to bring family, friends, etc.
Last year we did a similar event and it was a great hit. This is a fantastic opportunity to relax and socialize together.
It will be a “bring your own…” event. Bring a blanket, beverage and snack to share with others.
We hope to see you there!
@ly,
Sarah

Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz – Exquisitely for Ella: A Songbook Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald: Jeff Lindberg’s Chicago Jazz Orchestra
Chicago vocalists Dee Alexander, Frieda Lee andSpider Saloff celebrate Ella’s 95th Birthday with original arrangements of music by Gershwin, Kern, Ellington, Arlen, Mercer, Berlin, Porter, and Jobim from the legendary Songbook recordings Ella made in the 1950s. The singers and the CJO, expanded to an orchestra including 17 strings, honor Ella Fitzgerald’s unique contribution to American culture.
All concerts open with a short set performed by young, aspiring musicians from Chicago-area high schools through the Jazz Institute of Chicago’s Jazz Links Students Ensembles program.
