Boots of Glüwein and passports to fun.

by Sarah Ketvirtis, Chicago Hub Leader
Boots of Glüwein, massive soft pretzels and AIESEC cheer characterized our December event where more than 20 Chicagoland alumni, Northwestern AIESECers, and trainees gathered to network and celebrate 2012! We met at Chicago’s annual Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza and enjoyed traditional German fare.

With help from alumnus Mark Tomkins (NU'95), of the German American Chamber of Commerce, we had a reserved area in the Grand Timber House!

Alumni, AIESECers and trainees enjoyed Spaten beir, warm Glüwein in boots, roasted nuts, gingerbread, soft pretzels with spicy mustard sauce, and more! At the end of the fun night, after the Christkindlmarket had closed, everyone was asking when was our next event?!?!

Great question! Join the AIESEC Life Chicago hub on Thursday February 7th, Ice Skating in Millennium Park followed by happy hour! Be sure to check out other AIESEC Alumni First Thursday events happening around the world!
