JoAnn Boland Scholarship Winner to be
Announced in February

Scholarship to Fund International Conferences and
Develop Global Leaders

Winner of the 2014 JoAnn Boland Scholarship was Natalie Rodgers (bottom row, second from the right) of AIESEC Austin. Natalie used her scholarship to attend
International Congress in Taiwan in 2014.

Several years ago, a group of AIESEC alumni created a scholarship fund in memory of JoAnn Boland who served at AIESEC US as VP of Human Resources in '92-93 and LCP of AIESEC Miami Ohio in '91-92. Throughout her career in AIESEC, JoAnn focused on the development of AIESEC's international leaders and fostered the development of over 70 LCs.

Tragically, shortly before she was due to depart on her traineeship in Finland, JoAnn died in a car accident on February 22, 1994. After her death, several AIESEC friends asked about creating a scholarship fund in her memory.

The JoAnn Boland International Scholarship Fund was launched in 2000 with contributions dedicated to sponsoring AIESEC US LC members' attendance at international conferences.

This year, we are announcing an exciting initiative to raise $100,000 by April 15, 2023, with the goal of making the JoAnn Boland International Scholarship Fund self-funding going forward. The JoAnn Boland Fund was established to enable LC members to attend international conferences and to further develop future AIESEC leaders. Each year, students submit applications to AIESEC US and then final selections are chosen by Joann Boland's 1992-1993 AIESEC US staff team members (Dariusz Paczuski, Martin Alvarez, Heidi Dickert, Laura Granucci, David Kunz, and Renee Klosterman). The 2022 winner of the JoAnn Boland Scholarship will be announced next month.

To help with this initiative, your donations can earn you an opportunity to win a Rocket Vodka Launch Kit! For every $25 donation you make to the JAB Fund from now until April 15, 2023, your name will go into a raffle. Each time a total of $5000 in donations has been reached, Rocket Vodka will raffle off one Rocket Vodka Launch Kit (one bottle of Rocket Vodka, 2 mugs, and a shaker)! So if someone donates $100, they will get 4 entries into the raffle. If you donate $200, you will have 8 entries!

In addition to all his contributions to AIESEC, Dariusz’s background includes roles with Fortune 500 companies and major tech firms as well as founding Rocket Works, the holding company for Rocket Vodka. For the full story on Dariusz and what he has been up to, please click below.
