Inaugural AIESEC Life Hall of Fame Award Presented to
Jerry Allison at 2019 Founders Circle Retreat, Montreal

An appreciative and enthusiastic group of AIESEC Life and AIESEC Canada alumni presented our first AIESEC Life Hall of Fame award to Jerry Allison (NIU) at the Founders Circle Retreat, Montreal, July 2019.

Our annual Founders Circle Retreat recently took place in Montreal, Canada, where we had the extreme pleasure and honor of presenting the inaugural AIESEC Life Hall of Fame award to Jerry Allison! Jerry helped start the AIESEC chapter at Northern Illinois University (NIU) in 1961, is a founding member of AIESEC Life, has served on the board of AIESEC US as well as on the board of advisors for several LCs, including Georgia Tech, Emory and NIU.  He is co-founder and CEO of AJC International, an international multi-billion dollar food wholesaler and has taken AIESEC trainees since 1979.

One of Jerry's fondest AIESEC memories is the traineeship he had in Lima, Peru. AIESEC Life chairman, Peter Stewart summed it up well, "Jerry has really done everything an AIESECer could practically do...started an LC, gone on a traineeship, started a company, hired trainees at that company, served on multiple BOAs, and contributed financially to AIESEC Life, LCs and AIESEC US."  Jerry's eagerness and willingness to share his AIESEC and business experience with students is just one of the many reasons he deserves this award. Thank you Jerry for being a pillar of strength and an inspiration to multiple generations of AIESECers!

Meet the 2019-20 AIESEC US MC Team!
At the start of every summer, the outgoing AIESEC US team passes the baton to the incoming MC. The theme of MCP Ian Kawetschanky's term is "Elevate." He and his colleagues will encourage every LC to elevate in exchange and people. At the recent Summer National Conference, they rallied AIESECers to embrace risk and choose courage. You can see a list of the new MC names/titles, their 2019-20 strategies and current list of LCs by clicking the button below.  We wish Ian and his team an excellent year!
