As summer fades, the joy and excitement from reconnecting with so many alumni across the country still fills the air! This past season brought us incredible gatherings, full of laughter and memories. But just because the warm days are behind us doesn’t mean the connections have to be! Our annual New York Potluck is just around the corner, proving once again how meaningful in-person events can be. Sadly, due to the impact of Hurricane Milton, we had to cancel our highly anticipated Alumni Connect 2024 event in Miami. We were looking forward to seeing alumni and exploring the city together. We are excited to make it happen when the time (and weather) is right! Our hearts go out to all those who were affected by the recent storms.

JoAnn Boland Scholarship Winners Announced

We are pleased to announce the winners of the JoAnn Boland International Scholarship. Drum roll, please... Lauren Bonilla and Denisse Litardo, are both dedicated members of AIESEC Miami! Lauren, the current Local Committee President (LCP), and Denisse, the LCP-elect, will attend the Regional Presidents Meeting in Bolivia this fall, thanks to the support of this scholarship.
The JoAnn Boland Scholarship Fund was established by AIESEC alumni in memory of JoAnn Boland, a visionary leader who served as VP of Human Resources for AIESEC US (1992-1993) and as LCP of AIESEC Miami of Ohio (1991-1992). This scholarship supports LC members attending international conferences, reflecting JoAnn’s unwavering dedication to global leadership and her belief in the transformative power of international connections.
This year is especially exciting, as it’s the first time in a long time that we have two recipients for this prestigious award. The JAB Scholarship Committee felt it was a wonderful opportunity to honor both the current and incoming LCP, recognizing the importance of leadership transition and continuity. By awarding both Lauren and Denisse, we are supporting not only their individual growth but also the momentum and future success of AIESEC Miami.
Attending the Regional Presidents Meeting is an incredible opportunity for them to gain new insights, foster international connections, and further enrich the LC’s future.
We congratulate Lauren and Denisse on this special honor and look forward to seeing them continue JoAnn’s legacy of global leadership.

At AIESEC US' Fall Conference (FallCo) in Miami last weekend, alumni Mary Ryan, Alex Williams, and Nidal Barake shared their inspiring stories and successes on the panel, leaving a lasting impact on the students. In addition, we proudly recognized the incredible efforts of our local committees (LCs) to reconnect with alumni and strengthen their future foundations. As AIESEC alumni, we know how vital it is to support our LCs, ensuring the legacy and spirit of AIESEC continue to thrive for future generations.

Alumni Connection Award
Awarded to AIESEC Miami, this recognition celebrates the LC that has shown exceptional leadership in reconnecting with local alumni. Through events, outreach, and communication, AIESEC Miami has worked to bridge the gap between past and present members, ensuring the AIESEC spirit remains alive beyond graduation. The funds awarded will support their ongoing alumni engagement efforts, helping fund outreach activities, events, and initiatives that continue to strengthen the connection between alumni and students.
Legacy Builder Award
This award, presented to AIESEC San Jose, recognizes the LC that has gone above and beyond in growing its membership and creating a vibrant, welcoming culture for future AIESECers. By recruiting new members and ensuring a strong foundation for the LC, AIESEC San Jose has demonstrated a passion for AIESEC’s long-term sustainability. The funds awarded will help them continue their efforts in membership recruitment, events, and initiatives aimed at building a solid foundation for future generations of AIESECers.
