Alumni Spotlight - Peter Stewart, AIESEC Life Chairman of the Board 2018-2024
After seven years of dedicated leadership, Peter Stewart has completed two terms (and a bonus year!) as Chairman of AIESEC Life. His tenure was marked by significant achievements, including the establishment of the Lili Hein Endowment, which will help secure AIESEC Life's financial future. Peter's passion for mentoring and fostering a strong alumni community has been instrumental in inspiring the next generation of AIESECers. As AIESEC Life moves forward, it will continue to draw inspiration from Peter's vision and commitment to international leadership and exchange.
Peter's legacy extends beyond his role as Chairman. His early involvement with AIESEC, including organizing the International Congress in Atlanta and serving on the AIESEC United States Board of Directors, laid the foundation for his later leadership as a founder of AIESEC Life. Peter's legacy as Chairman is one of service, vision, and unwavering commitment. His leadership has created a foundation for a bright future for AIESEC Life, where alumni and students alike can continue to thrive in a global community united by a shared mission.

The Global Connection
Submitted by Lauren Bonilla, LCP, AIESEC in Miami
AIESEC in Miami is proud to announce a successful recruitment season, welcoming a diverse group of students from various backgrounds and skill sets. Their unique contributions will undoubtedly fuel the continued growth of our local committee.
On Saturday, September 14th, we hosted our LoCo (Local Conference), where we introduced our new members to the AIESEC experience. Teresa Moreno, our esteemed chair for the event, guided some of the sessions. Teresa served as LCP of Miami in 2020 and was part of the MC from 2022-2023.
In addition, we held an Alumni x Student Social on September 20th (pictures below). It was a fun-filled evening of board games and quality time between current members and alumni. Our LC is now excitedly preparing for FallCo, where we look forward to connecting with our alumni once again. We aim to make the event memorable and bring home several awards as a strong and united LC.
"I think it is important to be surrounded by an amazing group of alumni. They support us in many ways, and I know I can call on them when needed. Plus, they are a fun group of people!"

We’re excited to invite all alumni to Alumni Connect 2024 on October 12th in sunny Miami! Whether you’re a local or flying in for the weekend, we want to meet you!
We'll start with "Coffee & Conversation" with the MCP of AIESEC United States, Pau Avila, and Ionel Nechiti, Chairman of the Board for AIESEC Life. Our day will continue as we explore Miami’s vibrant art deco and historical areas, including Wynwood Walls, Miami's globally renowned street art museum.
We’ll enjoy lunch together at Cerveceria La Tropical, Cuba's oldest brewery and now one of Miami's youngest! Experience passionately handcrafted drinks and tropical botanical gardens in the heart of Wynwood. The day will continue with optional activities and conclude with an opportunity to join current students for their fall conference dinner, where we’ll network, celebrate achievements, and strengthen our AIESEC community.
We hope to see you for coffee, lunch, socializing, or all of the above!

JoAnn Boland International Scholarship Application
DEADLINE OCTOBER 2
Last March, AIESEC United States had 17 delegates at the Americas Congress in Bogota, Colombia. One of those delegates was Dev Sharma, winner of the Spring JoAnn Boland International Scholarship (JAB).
Applications for the fall JAB are open. If you know a current student member or serve on the BOA of an LC, please encourage the LC members to apply. This fund has been created in JoAnn’s memory. Contributions to the JoAnn Boland International Scholarship Fund are dedicated to sponsoring local committee members’ attendance at International Leadership Development Conferences and Seminars. Applications are available from Pau Avila. The deadline to submit is October 2.
While this fund holds the name of a very special AIESECer, it has also been created as a dedicated avenue for AIESEC alumni to help sponsor the development of future AIESEC leaders. AIESEC provided many alumni with not only leadership skills and unique work/life experiences but also great memories and good friends. We now wish to help current AIESECers gain these experiences as well.
