AIESEC Life is committed to assisting AIESEC US with conference funding this fall, and we need your help! Please join us in making this fall a memorable Homecoming season for current AIESECers.

Yes, they can attend football games and tailgates on campus, but remember what it was like to attend an in-person AIESEC conference? Did you know that this will be the first, in-person all member conference since before the pandemic? The upcoming fall conference in Washington DC is sure to be an amazing experience for them, and a great way to build and retain membership. Let's help make it happen for as many AIESECers as possible.

Last month, we promised more info on AIESEC US and what they are up to this year.

Besides planning for their in-person conference October 14-16 in Washington DC, the MC has been busy traveling and visiting LCs across the country.

Visits thus far have included Colorado, Ohio, Eau Claire and Atlanta with more on the schedule! These visits are intended to train the local committees on innovative marketing tactics, stable organization practices, and how to engage & excite their membership to send people abroad!

Abby Lemma (MCVP Growth) is excited about the success they've seen so far in coaching visits. "Getting back in person with our LCs has brought back a fire within our LCs," said Abby. "Our people are ready to bring in a strong and full membership for AIESEC US, and we are so grateful for the alumni support and interaction during these visits!"

These visits are extremely beneficial and can be done more frequently with help from alumni like you. If you are interested in assisting their efforts with monetary and in-kind donations, speaking/training opportunities at the LC, or hosting a local reception with students and alumni, please reach out to Jennifer Farley.

Maui Study Tour

February 17-21, 2023

Aloha to our AIESEC Life "Ohana" (Hawaiian for "family")!

Join us February 17-21, 2023 as AIESEC Life hosts its third tropical adventure! This Study Tour is to Maui, the second largest island in the Hawaiian archipelago, also known as "The Valley Isle. "It's beloved for world-famous beaches, farm-to-table cuisine, incredible sea life and snorkeling, magnificent views of the Haleakala volcano, diverse Hawaiian folklore and so much more.

The month of February is also peak whale season! Since Maui offers the best viewing of all the islands, we’ll have plenty of chances to spot whales on our boat trip, and even hear them underwater!

Highlights of our trip will include:

• 5 days/4 nights at either Royal Lahaina Resort (ocean views) or Kaanapali Ocean Inn (budget standard rooms), both on the same beachfront property with shared pool, restaurants, and amenities
• Whale watching from our hotel grounds
• Swimming and snorkeling from our hotel’s beachfront on one of Maui's best stretches of sand and turquoise waters, with nearby reefs and turtles
• Hiking & sunset from Haleakala volcano
• Boat excursion
• Traditional Hawaiian-style BBQ & cultural activities

BOARDING NOW: Maui Study Tour

The AIESEC Life Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of its most recent member, Nell Mei.

Nell Mei is a social entrepreneur, silicon valley tech executive, private equity investor, startup advisor, two-time author and award-winning international public speaker. She served on the boards of numerous business and nonprofits, and her professional experiences took her to New York, San Francisco and London.

Nell first joined AIESEC in Shanghai China, and subsequently moved around to call home to three more LCs in the US, the UK and Japan. She also completed an internship in India where she lived with 17 AIESECers in a trainee house.

Formerly AIESEC Life's San Francisco Bay Area hub chair and New York's hub leader, Nell embraces AIESEC's mission in both her personal and professional life, advocating for a world where we all share the same human identity and we are all from the same place.
