You Asked For It!

When asked what do you want from AIESEC Life, you answered, "More engagement". We heard you. Starting this month, we will be trying something new... instead of one extremely long newsletter, we will be issuing two, more concise newsletters throughout the month. That way, you will be up-to-date on all things AIESEC and will never miss an event or opportunity again!

Content will be geared towards what you want to know about, so please send an email to Jennifer with any news you would like to share with our AIESEC alumni.

Suggestions are always welcome and will be taken seriously. After all, this is YOUR alumni association!

LC Update featuring AIESEC Colorado

AIESEC Colorado is a growing local committee. Many of our members graduated last spring, so we have spent these first couple months of our semester recruiting and rebuilding. This year we have four new members in our LC. All of which are eager to both help with our operations and participate in an IXP (integrated experience aka traineeship) themselves! That puts us at 7 members, and we are hoping to recruit a few more by the end of the semester.

In September, Abby Lemma (MCVP Growth) came to Colorado for an MC Coaching visit, where we were able to establish a few attainable goals for our semester. First of which is to provide a positive member experience to ensure member retention. To accomplish this, we plan on attending the fall conference in October, tabling (recruiting), doing activities outside weekly LC meetings and potentially attending the International Business and U conference at the World Trade Center Denver. Secondly, we want to get the ball rolling for exchanges in Summer 2023.

Since we are juggling active recruitment with OGV (Outgoing Global Volunteer), we have decided to focus on executing the IXP of our new members. While we are focusing on IXP’s, we will still be tabling for the dual purpose of recruitment and finding students who would like to go abroad.

Lastly, since our entire EB will be graduating next spring, we want to make sure that our LC is sustainable, and that the new members are well transitioned to their positions.

We would love the help of AIESEC Alumni and our BoA by providing us with valuable professional expertise, marketing and sales strategies, leadership guidelines and learning about your personal experiences.

Welcomes Georgina Saldana

The AIESEC Life Team is pleased to announce the addition of its most recent member, Georgina Saldana.

Georgina graduated from Georgia State University where she studied Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Management. She served as an active member of AIESEC GSU as VP Business Development 2011-2012. After graduation she travelled a bit and worked within the IT hospitality sector for about 6 years. She has a passion for travel and appreciation for the arts. Georgina currently lives in Atlanta, Ga.
